The iPong pro is the second table tennis robot in their line of inexpensive ping pong robots. Well this table is exactly that, inexpensive. At about the same price as it’s earlier counter-part the ipong-topspin, the iPong pro has different characteristics and different abilities that make it a better ping pong robot overall. While the iPong topspin fails to have some of the spin capabilities, the Ipong pro table tennis robot can do shots like the topspin, backspin, and heavy-top spin. Overall, the Ipong pro is a great training robot that any individual considering purchasing should check out.

The I-Pong Pro is for Table tennis players that want to practice alone but also want to receive on-coming shots like in a real setting. While this a decent table, I don’t advice purchasing this table for the efforts of practice if you are over the 16, there are other, better suited higher quality robots that will better your efforts. While this a decent robot, it doesn't have some the capabilities such as swiveling or the automatic random feature that really makes it similar to playing against a real person.
A bad thing about this robot is the short chord. While training robots are supposed to be rigorous, it’s not supposed to be from walking over to change the settings on the robot. It’s not wire-less, so you’ll have to physically change them every time, which can become annoying. However, this is still a decent table for the price.
It seems iPong created this robot for this worried about their budget or for the younger generation. So I hope that if your are planning on purchasing this product, you have the right expectations in mind. This is not the table you purchase for rigorous table tennis practice, this is the robot you purchase to impress your children or teens who are just getting into the sport.
Conclusion: This is a cheap ping pong robot and it was designed to be as such. There are limited features and the robot’s capabilities make it difficult to really see the life-like practice this product advertises. However that should not discourage individuals who are looking for a toy or product that a younger or teen may enjoy, this is a great robot for the fun of play and not for practice.
I do recommend looking up purchasing a table tennis net for behind your table. It is highly convenient to have a net that prevent you from having to pick up every shot you take. Now, you would only have to pick up the shots you miss, which will be less and less.
